Richmond Police say they've made an arrest for a string of robberies at check cashing businesses.
33-year-old Douglas Lynch, of Richmond, was arrested Thursday, in connection with Wednesday's robbery at PayDay USA on Big Hill Avenue.
After investigating, police also charged Lynch for robberies at the Cash Express, on East Main Street, in December, and at Advance America Cash Advance, on the Eastern Bypass, in January.
Police say all three businesses were robbed at gunpoint.
Police also say Lynch had tried to rob Advance America once before.
Lynch was arrested Thursday after police say they spotted at vehicle, fitting a description of the one seen during the PayDay USA robbery, at Barnes Mill Road and Amberly Way. Police say Lynch was driving that vehicle, and fit the description of the suspect in the robbery.
Police say they later found the gun used in the PayDay USA robbery on Fike Road near Waco.
Lynch is now charged with three counts of first degree robbery, and one count of attempted robbery. He was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
