Seether to Preview Material from their New Studio Album to be Released Summer 2010

New York, NY – After selling over three million albums in the U.S. alone and two #1 hit singles Wind-up Recording artist Seether (Shaun Morgan, Dale Stewart, John Humphrey, Troy McLawhorn) will hit the road this spring. After touring in arenas across the country with the likes of Audioslave, Nickelback, Three Days Grace, Staind and others, Seether will be headlining a handful of arena dates of their own in addition to various festivals this spring including Rock on the Range with Godsmack, Rob Zombie, and more. The band will head out on the road April 29 and will tour through early June hitting a bunch of cities across the U.S. including Detroit, Madison, Atlanta, Kansas City and Columbus. Seether will be performing fan favorites from their three studio albums Disclaimer, Karma & Effect and Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces. Seether will also be previewing material from their upcoming fourth album which is scheduled to be released later this summer.

The South African band, Seether, debuted on the scene in 2002 with the release of Disclaimer. Released on Wind-up Records, the album went on to sell over 500,000 copies and was certified gold by the RIAA. The band saw great success with their debut release and put out a reworked version of the album which included a DVD and bonus tracks. Aptly titled, Disclaimer II, the album went on to sell over 600,000 copies when a new rendition of the track “Broken” – which featured guest vocals by Amy Lee of Evanescence – became a Top 20 hit. In 2005, Seether released Karma & Effect. The album debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart. The band returned in 2007 with the release of Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces. Produced by Howard Benson, the album debuted at #9 and produced a handful of hit singles including “Fake It” which went to #1 on the US Mainstream Rock charts and Modern Rock charts. To date, Seether has sold over 5 million albums worldwide. The band is currently writing and recording music with Grammy winning Producer of the Year, Brendan O’Brien, for their fourth album to be released summer 2010.
