The victim of a deadly crash on Interstate 75 in Madison County has been identified.
The Madison County Coroner says 48-year-old Kimberley Toton-Kozloski, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, died after a semi crashed into the back of the van she was riding in.
Kentucky State Police say because of mechanical trouble, the van was going slowly in the right northbound lane at mile marker 93 around 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Investigators say it appears the semi's driver came up on the van and couldn't stop in time, slamming into the back of it.
Three other people in the van, along with the driver of the semi, were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Police say Toton-Kozloski was ejected from the van during the crash and died at the scene.
State police don't suspect drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash. The say the van was traveling around 30 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
It took workers nearly five hours to clear the wrecked semi and van from the ditch along I-75 before normal traffic flow resumed.
