Police are looking for suspects after a violent robbery at a clothing store. It happened in Richmond on Red House Road. Investigators say the robbers had an assault rifle and attacked an employee.

The store owner and an employee are recovering after being assaulted during the course of the robbery. It was just after 7pm at JaRu's New Fashion in Richmond. That's when police say several men entered the store with an assault rifle, demanded money, and attacked the employee before leaving.

Newsfirst spoke to that employee. He didn't want to appear on camera, but he describes the suspects as three African-American men. He says one of them used the assault rifle to hit him over the head, and he says another suspect had a tasor and used it to tase the store owner.

The employee says the suspects had electrical tape he believes they were about to use to bind them when a pizza delivery man came to the door and distracted the suspects long enough for the owner and the employee to get away and call for help. Police say there were no customers there at the time.

Investigators later recovered a suspect vehicle, a black Pontiac Aztec, along with persons of interest, but they are still looking for the suspects.
