MAY 22, 2010
RICHMOND, KY – May 22, Pieratt’s will celebrate the grand opening of a new 25,583 square foot retail space in Richmond Centre, which is located just off I-75 at exit 87 in Richmond KY. The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Purchased from Crosland Property Management, the store opening will create between 12 – 15 new jobs in the area.
This new location will include quality name brand home appliances, high definition televisions, home theater, mattresses, furniture and home accessories. Richmond Centre is the premier regional shopping, entertainment and hospitality venue for south-central Kentucky and the largest retail development between Lexington, KY, and Knoxville, TN. This 120-acre multi-use development comprises approximately 800,000 square feet of retail space, including traditional and discount department stores, specialty retailers, a bookstore, theatre, restaurants and hotels.
Founded in 1948, H.F. Pieratt opened Pieratt’s, Inc., as a small radio repair shop. Starting with a small store with one employee, Pieratt's has expanded to a full-service home appliance and television dealer in Lexington, KY, with customers throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana. H.F. Pieratt provided personal service and great attention to detail. He instilled those values in other family members and employees joining the company.
The opening of the new facility in Richmond is an exciting development for the 63-year-old Pieratt’s Company, and with roots in Madison County, a return to an old home. H.F. Pieratt’s father called Madison County home for many years, residing not far from the new showroom location, at the corner of Barnes Mill Road and Curtis Pike.
“Pieratt’s is still a family run business where you’ll receive personal service and our guaranteed satisfaction when you shop one of our stores,” said Michael Cox, Pieratt’s Director of Marketing. “The Richmond location is an exciting new development for everyone here, and we look forward to serving everyone in the Richmond area.”
