FEMA is getting ready to open another Disaster Recovery Center in Kentucky.
The newest center will be in Richmond, and will serve flood victims in Madison County.
It will officially open at 8 Wednesday morning, behind the Madison County Emergency Operations Center on South Keeneland Drive in Richmond.
The center will be staffed by FEMA representatives, who will help Madison County flood victims with the application process for government assistance.
Once the center opens, normal operating hours will be 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday - Saturday. The center will be closed Sundays, and on Monday, May 31 for Memorial Day.
Before visiting the center, Madison County flood victims are asked to register online, or by telephone.
To register, flood victims can call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or go to the link attached to this story.
FEMA has already opened Disaster Recovery Centers in Rowan, Woodford, and Lincoln Counties.
