A happy reunion for a Madison County woman. She has her best friend and lifeline back.
Patricia Martin says someone took her dog, Rufus, from her car while she ran inside a store Tuesday.
On Thursday, a police officer driving by a Richmond home spotted Rufus in a yard.
The person who lives there said the dog wandered into their yard from a nearby CVS. The CVS happened to be next to the store where Martin left Rufus in the car.
Martin says she's glad to have her pooch home. She suffers from epilepsy and relies on Rufus to warn people around her when she's about to have a seizure.
