The search continues for two men suspected in a violent home invasion at an apartment on Turpin Drive in Richmond. Two people who live in the apartment say the men entered the apartment and robbed them at gun point.
They say someone knocked on their door just before 3:30am Thursday. When they opened the door, the two men reportedly rushed inside. One of the men was armed with a sawed-off shotgun and the other with a wooden club. Two of the residents reported being struck in the head, but Richmond Police say it's unclear what they were struck with. The suspects ordered all seven people inside the apartment into the living room and then demanded money.
Police say the suspects took three cellular telephones, two packs of cigarettes and $80.00 in cash from the occupants before fleeing on foot. The suspects were wearing masks to partially obscure their faces. Both were identified as white males.
Two of the victims received treatment at the Pattie A. Clay RMC for minor injuries. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
