Police arrest man accused of passing counterfeit money

A man is now under arrest after police say he was caught on tape passing counterfeit money.

Richmond Police say they arrested 26-year-old Robert Devon Dunn Monday. He's now charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument.

On June 27, police say an employee at the Texaco gas station on the Eastern Bypass told them a counterfeit $5 was passed at that business.

Police say counterfeit bills, bearing the same serial number, were passed later that same day at the Burger King in Richmond.

Police soon released video of a suspect passing the counterfeit bill at the Texaco. Officers say that video generated several calls from the public identifying Dunn as the suspect.

Richmond Police say they arrested Dunn at his home on South Porter Drive Monday, and executed a search warrant.

Police say they found several counterfeit bills during that search, along with paraphernalia used to make counterfeit money.

Police say they anticipate more charges against Dunn. He's been lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
