Cleanup crews spent Wednesday morning at Berea Community School's Central Office. They've been dragging wet carpet out of the basement rooms and bringing in fans to dry them out.
The room hit hardest by Tuesday's flash flood was the technology center. The school system had just ordered dozens of laptops, all of them sitting on the floor, when the water rushed in.
In all, about 4 inches of water ended up inside the room. People working in the central office at the time say they had to scramble to get computers and cords off the ground.
Berea students go back to school August 11, giving administrators about two weeks to cleanup.
