Police say a man wanted for robbing two Kentucky banks has been busy. They say he may also have hit seven more banks in five states, all in the past two months.

We first told you on Monday about the man who robbed a Lexington and Richmond bank, linked to a robbery in Tennessee.

Lexington Police responded to a bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank off Pleasant Ridge in Hamburg last Thursday. Just an hour later, the Chase Bank on Richmond's Eastern Bypass was robbed as well.

In both cases, the robber got away. From the surveillance photos it appeared the same guy was behind both robberies.

As the two police departments (Lexington, Richmond) began working together to figure out if it was the same guy, investigators learned other agencies across the Southeast were doing the same.

Surveillance photos from five other bank robberies in Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida began popping up online.

"When you look at the photo images, sure looks like the same guy," said Lexington Police Sgt. Pete Ford.

Ford told NEWSFIRST while it appears from the photos it is the same guy in all seven cases, he can't say for sure until an arrest is made.

In all of the cases, the suspect is wearing eye glasses, and the same dark Nike Swoosh ball cap.

"If this is in fact the same suspect, he's done if for a period of time and he's been successful thus far," said Ford. "The longer you do it, the better you start feeling about yourself and the more risks you take. At some point, that luck will run out."

Police say the man has never shown a weapon, although in some cases, like the robbery in Lexington, he did imply he had one.
