The Madison County Sheriff's Office says an SUV plowed into a home on Lee Drive Saturday morning, causing extensive damage. A hole was still in the home, and damage strewn around the room, Tuesday morning.

"He got out and says he took a wrong turn, " explained Raymond Tudor, who lives across the street from the house that was hit. "He took several wrong turns!"

Deputies say Larry A. King was behind the wheel of a Dodge Durango early Saturday morning and hit two parked cars, ran through three yards and then the house. The driver and owner of the Dodge, Larry A King and his passenger Kris D. Baker, both are from Richmond. They both were treated and released for minor injuries received in the accident.

Tudor says the fence King took out was only put up about a year ago.

"The way he tore up everything, he had to be going at a high rate of speed," he said.

The Sheriff's Office charged King with Operating a motor vehicle under the influence/drugs and alcohol 2nd, failure to maintain insurance 1st, leaving the scene of an accident, and 2 counts of wanton endangerment 1st. Baker was charged with alcohol intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

But what frustrates Tudor and others living in the neighborhood is that King was arrested on December 18th of 2011 after hitting a parked car in the Waffle House parking lot. He was later charged with DUI in that case and neighbors want to know why he was back behind the wheel so fast.

"I believe he needs to straighten himself out," Tudor said.

Tudor continued that folks charged with DUI should have their licenses taken away for longer.

"I believe we'd be safer if they did."

District court clerks say the second DUI is a felony and King now faces a harsh punishment.
