The remains of a one-year-old boy were discovered by authorities in a wooded area of Hillsboro County, Ohio.

Authorities have identified the toddler as Garin Niehaus, son to Ian Niehaus and Whitney Johnson, 26.

Ohio authorities say that Garin's mother 26-year-old Whitney Johnson and her boyfriend 25-year-old, Nathan Ritze had something to with it.

Police in Ohio discovered an address for Johnson and Ritze in Richmond, Kentucky. They immediately contacted Richmond Police who arrested the couple for being fugitives from Ohio.

In Madison County District Court on Monday, Johnson and Ritze were arraigned on the fugitive charge. In Ohio, the two are charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.

Also back in Ohio, friends and family came together to hose a candlelight vigil in honor of one-year-old, Garin Niehaus.

"I'm just hoping that whoever did this...pays for it," says Garin's father, Ian Niehaus.

While the mother of Garin sits in jail, his father wants to know why his baby boy is dead.

"I want to bring attention to this and make sure that the people responsible for this pay," says Niehaus.

Along with Garin, Ian Niehaus is the father to two other children with Johnson. They were also found at an apartment in Richmond, Kentucky. They're now in the custody of Kentucky Children Services.

"I can't change what's happened but I want to get my other two kids back. It's all that really matters right now," says Niehaus.

Whitney Johnson is now in an Ohio jail and her boyfriend, Nathan Ritze will be transported there sometime Monday night or Tuesday morning.
