A central Kentucky woman faces several charges after police say she stole credit cards from customers at the gas station where she worked.
Richmond Police arrested 21-year-old Nipa Patel Wednesday.
Police say a few weeks ago, a woman reported someone had used her credit card to make $894.06 in unauthorized charges at Kohl's. The woman also told police the card was missing, and the last time she remembered using it was at the Merrick Shell in Richmond.
Richmond Police say they later received a second report from another woman, saying someone used her credit card to make $123.33 in unauthorized charges, also at Kohl's. The woman also told police her credit card was missing, and the last place she remembered having it was the Merrick Shell.
Police say they later determined the same suspect had used both cards at Kohl's. They later identified that suspect as Patel, who is an employee at the Shell.
Patel is charged with two counts of theft of property mislaid or delivered by mistake, and three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.
