A Fayette County grand jury indicted 40-year-old Kelly Scott Wooten on Tuesday. Wooten faces charges of 1st-degree robbery & being a persistent felony offender.

Back in May, State Police arrested Wooten on I-75 in Richmond. The arrest came 15-minutes after a robbery at the 5/3 Bank in Lexington's Hamburg Pavilion.

A man entered the bank wearing sunglasses and handed the teller a note demanding money. A bank employee followed the robber's getaway car, providing police with the information they needed to locate him quickly.

State Police stopped the silver Pontiac Acura in Richmond the bank teller was following. That's when they arrested Wooten.
