Eastern Kentucky University officially opened "The Wall that Heals" exhibit Thursday.
The traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. is on display at the EKU Center for the Arts. The 250 foot replica is accompanied by a mobile museum that tells the story of the Vietnam war, the wall and the era.
Today's unveiling falls on the 30th anniversary of the opening of the wall in Washington, D.C. In honor of the anniversary, Jan C. Scruggs, founder and president of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund spoke to the crowd.
The exhibit will be open to the public viewing 24 hours a day until Sunday.
