RICHMOND, Ky. - A man has been charged with two counts of arson after police say he set two fires in as many days at a vacant home on Virginia Avenue in Richmond.
Police say the Richmond Fire Department was called to the scene on Virginia Avenue near Ashland Avenue around 2:00 on Wednesday morning. The fire department extinguished the fire, but not before it caused major damage to the structure.
We're told police learned that the Richmond Fire Department had been to the same vacant home the night before, and put out a more minor fire at the rear of the house.
During a follow-up investigation, Richmond detectives say they identified Bush as a suspect in the two fures. He was interviewed at the police station, after which he was charged with two counts of arson in the second degree. He is currently being held in the Madison County Detention Center.
