Kentucky State Police say neighbors called 911 Monday to report a woman running up the street in her underwear on Cedar Hill Drive in Madison County. The female told police she had been physically assaulted by her boyfriend.
Trooper Jeremy Hamm says Brandon Crowder was standing in the road, near the caller’s address, when he arrived on the scene. He says Crowder told him he had poured diesel fuel over himself and would set himself on fire. The trooper says Crowder was near a fuel can, and was holding a lighter. He eventually dropped the lighter and was taken into custody. Madison County Fire responded to decontaminate Crowder.
The two women police say were assaulted by Crowder told the trooper they had been held against their will by Brandon Crowder.
State Police arrested him on two counts of assault, domestic violence and two counts of unlawful imprisonment.
