Technology helped police catch two men wanted for stealing an SUV right off a car dealer's lot.
Kentucky State Police say 19-year-old John Mullins and 20-year-old Nathaniel Marks took the new vehicle from Jack Burford Chevrolet in Richmond. Trooper Bubba Botkin says the dealership "actually witnessed this vehicle take off at a high rate of speed. They did some investigative work and determined that nobody was test driving it to their knowledge and went ahead and contacted the Richmond Police Department."
Troopers say they caught up with the two on Highway 52, one trooper had to draw his weapon. The two were arrested not far from the dealership with the help of OnStar.
Police say they are still trying to determine how the two obtained keys to the vehicle. No one was hurt in the chase.
