With the possible snow storm just a few hours away, folks in Madison county are stalking up on last minute items. "I've been through this before," explains Juanita Chasteen, "that is why the lines don't really bother me. It's something you have to do, you know?"

Folks stood in line for up to an hour at the Wal Mart in Berea waiting to check out. "It's a zoo in there!" explains last minute shopper Caroline Garland, "I live in Jackson County but my husband and I have decided to get our shopping done and head to Lexington. We don't want to get stuck in this snow."

Officials are predicting Fayette County will get between one to three inches of snow early Sunday morning all the way into the evening hours. Officials say if you live in the southern or eastern part of the state you'll most likely see more. They are predicting anywhere from four to seven inches for Madison County.

"I really would like to see one big snow storm this winter," explains Chasteen, "we've been spoiled this year. I don't want an ice storm like we had a few years ago, but a good little dusting wouldn't bother me. Would make it feel more like winter, which I love."

Road and power crews throughout the region say they've been preparing for the last two days. Road crews were out early this morning pre-treating roads in Lexington. They tell WKYT that they have crews on standby just incase they need more man power.
