– Each year, the University of Kentucky Federal Credit Union donates $15,000 in scholarship money, $5,000 to each of the three main entities it serves: University of Kentucky (UK), Eastern Kentucky University (EKU), and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). These scholarships are awarded by the separate Financial Aid offices to qualified students who need financial assistance as they pursue a higher education degree… and ultimately, their dreams.
"We are pleased to be able to contribute to the continuing education of individuals at UK, KCTCS, and EKU. Improving the lives of the people, within the communities we serve, goes hand in hand with our mission of helping individuals achieve financial well being.” says Greg Baker, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Kristen Higdon, a freshman at UK, planning to study Merchandising, Apparel & Textiles.
Melinda Hamm, of EKU, is studying speech pathology and hopes to receive her Master’s once she is finished with her Bachelor degree and work with stroke victims.
Jockey hopefuls Jessica Edstrom and Kali Francois are enrolled at KCTCS’ jockey school, the North American Racing Academy (NARA).
