The country's top republican plans to stop in central Kentucky Thursday.
Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell is scheduled to speak with members of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce as well as the Berea Chamber of Commerce.
McConnell has recently been feuding with President Obama over the president's naming of Richard Cordray as leader of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
With congress not in session, the president used a recess appointment to give Cordray the job for at least two years without congressional approval.
During McConnell's visit to Richmond, he will visit the EKU Center for the Arts.
