MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Officers in Madison County have arrested two people in connection with two shoplifting incidents that occurred at a local Walmart.
23-year-old Bryan T. Jones and 45-year-old Rebecca A. Jones have been arrested in connection with the shoplifting incidents.
On July 31, Walmart employees reported a female and male suspect took nearly $1,160 worth of merchandise in bags and left the store. Then on August 10, employees reported seeing the same couple leave with nearly $590 worth of merchandise.
Officers were able to get a vehicle description from employees and on Tuesday officers spotted the vehicle on Lexington Road. Bryan Jones fled from officers on foot, but Rebecca Jones was arrested.
Saturday, officers were able to locate Bryan Jones and arrest him.
Rebecca Jones is being charged with two counts of theft by unlawful taking over $500. Bryan Jones is being charged with two counts of theft by unlawful taking over $500 and fleeing and evading police.
In addition, Bryan Jones also had two outstanding warrants from other counties.
Both suspects are being held at the Madison County Detention Center.
