RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - The EKU Police Department has issued a statement regarding the reported attack on campus early Friday morning.
The alleged assault was reported to have occured around 2am Friday morning.
After an investigation the EKU Police Department says that the reporting person advised them that the incident did not occur.
RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Eastern Kentucky University police have issued a safety warning after a woman says she was attacked and choked early Friday morning on campus.
EKU police tell us that the woman reported she was walking between McGregor Hall and the Weaver Building around 2:00 AM on Friday when she was grabbed from behind by a stranger and choked. She said that she couldn't provide a description, and had no idea who did it.
Campus police say they're currently investigating the incident. They remind students to travel in groups, and report anyone they think is suspicious.
