Richmond Police say a was cut Monday afternoon by a thief. The victim says she was stopped at a traffic light on E. Main Street at Estill Avenue when she was approached by a white female on foot. She says the woman was 50 to 60 years-old, wearing a pink shirt, black knee-high socks, black shoes, and carrying a black backpack.
The victim says the woman asked for help. When she asked the woman what the problem was she says the stranger grabbed her arm and started cutting her inside her forearm with an unknown object. In the process, the unknown female removed a white gold wedding set from the victim.
After removing the ring, the victim says the woman took off running. She tells police the rings were valued at $2000.
Police say the victim was treated for several superficial cuts to the inside of her left forearm and wrist area and released from the hospital.
