State police say preliminary statistics show four people were killed in crashes on Kentucky roads over the Labor Day weekend.
Police say three deaths involved motor vehicle crashes in Jefferson, Pulaski, and Wayne counties.
Police think alcohol played a role in the Jefferson County crash.
A fourth deadly crash happened in Perry County. That one involved a motorcycle.
The Labor Day holiday period began at 6 p.m. Friday, and continued through 11:59 p.m. Monday.
Through September 6, state police say preliminary statistics show 501 people have been killed on Kentucky roads in 2010. That's 47 fewer deaths than reported during the same time period in 2009.
