A low-cost airline from Central Kentucky will end service to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Friday.
A program to subsidize passenger air service from the Somerset Airport has cost taxpayers nearly a million dollars. But, with the subsidy about to end, the carriers plans to pull out after tomorrow.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the airline had few passengers on some of the 9 seat flights.
One flight last month had two pilots and only one passenger.
