A man is under arrest after police say he led them on a chase.
Somerset Police say it started just before 2 Tuesday morning, after an officer pulled over 35-year-old Scott Keeney, of Science Hill, for a traffic violation near the intersection of U.S. 27 and Highway 80.
Police say the officer asked Keeney to get out of the car, but instead, he sped away.
Police say Keeney led them on a chase through several side streets, and the area of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, before heading west on Highway 80.
At one point, officers say Keeney threw a bag from his car, which was later identified as pseudoephedrine.
Police say Keeney eventually ended up on the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway. Pulaski County Sheriff's deputies placed stop sticks near the Fishing Creek Bridge, which disabled Keeney's car, ending the chase.
Keeney was then arrested. He's now charged with first degree fleeing or evading police, tampering with physical evidence, DUI, failure of a non-operator to maintain insurance, and unlawful possession of a meth precursor.
Keeney was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
