He had a badge and even a gun, but officials with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department says a man claiming to be one of their deputies was just a fake.
39-year-old Robbie Brown is charged with impersonating a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon, and other charges.
Deputies arrested Brown after a local business owner called them.
They say Brown came in wearing a badge around his neck and was carrying a radio that received law enforcement transmissions.
He was also found with a gun, and police say they charged with carrying a concealed weapon because Brown did not have a conceal and carry permit.
Brown pleaded guilty to the charges in Pulaski District Court today but his daughter says her father did nothing wrong.
She says he bought the items at a police surplus store...and that he wasn't wearing the items, only that he was "in possession" of them.
