A robbery suspect police say escaped from a state police post after being arrested is now back in custody.
State police say 30-year-old Christopher Sams, of Somerset, was arrested just after 7 Thursday morning at a home on Hershey Road in Laurel County.
Police say they've now charged Sams with escape, theft, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.
In reference to the home where he was found, police say they'll present their case to the Laurel County Grand Jury for possible charges of manufacturing meth, burglary, and unlawful imprisonment.
State police say he escaped from Post 11 in London early Wednesday morning. He was at the post being processed at the time.
Earlier that morning, police say Sams was arrested in Laurel County on several charges, including fleeing or evading police. Troopers say they had to use a TASER on Sams to get him in custody then.
Police also say Sams had warrants out of Pulaski County for robbery and failure to appear on traffic related charges.
Police haven't said how Sams was able to escape. The investigation into his escape is continuing, and police say additional arrests are expected.
