Georgene Patterson came home from work Sunday night to find a mess.
“That tree of course was on the house, RECC had to come and get it off,” said Patterson.
High winds came blowing through the area west of Somerset, but for some reason, Patterson’s home on Munsey Lane seemed to have taken most of the damage. Nearly every tree in her yard…was ruined.
Pulaski County officials say there were a lot of trees knocked over throughout the county. But nobody was hurt.
Two windows at Somerset’s Goodwill store in the Tradeway Center will have to be replaced after high winds blew them out. Trees and power lines were also reported down on Pond Meadow and Hickory Hills. But there was little structural damage, and even Patterson considers herself lucky.
“I mean nobody was hurt, what this mess looks like, it could have been 10 times worse,” she said.
