PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Twice a week the White Oak Baptist Church, in the Nancy community, gets a cleaning, but on Tuesday things got a little dirty in the parking lot.
"I've always felt safe here," said the woman who cleans the church.
While she did not wish to give her name, she did describe the shocking encounter she had with a man around 9:30 that night.
"He got out of the truck," she recalled, "and he had exposed himself!"
"And the only thing that she says she sees is his hat," added the church's pastor, Brother Reggie Tipton, "he had a shirt on, but from the waist down totally nude and was actually fondling himself and making very obscene gestures."
While the victim says she got an eyeful, she was too shocked to get a good description of the man.
"I wasn't terrified but it did scare me some."
The victim raced home where she told her husband, he sprang into action tracking the man down to a nearby gas station. He didn't get a look at the suspect but spotted this dark Dodge Dakota that is said to have rust on the hood.
Tipton says he put out a notice on Facebook to the small community only to learn that they may be dealing with a "serial flasher."
"We had a response earlier and she said a similar incident happened to her at the post office, in daylight, last year," adding that the victim in that instance described a similar truck to the one seen Tuesday night.
Tipton said that makes him feel uneasy.
"Somebody in that frame of mind, who would expose themselves to a lady, has the potential to do so much more than just that."
The victim went on to say, "It's a disgrace to women and it really bothers me."
Even more, they want this man found and reported because right across the street from the church is the Nancy Elementary School. Both Tipton and the victim say they worry that kids may be present if this man tries his stunt again.
The pastor said the police have been notified, but at this time investigators don't know who the man could be.
