SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - A couple of police officers jumped to action to save a baby from a burning home.
Somerset Police say a woman called 911, saying she had been burned in a grease fire and made it out of her Bourne Avenue home but her one-year-old baby was still inside.
Police say officers Derek Flynn and Daniel Lawhorn rushed into the home to rescue the baby, who wasn't injured.
We're told the mother, 41-year-old Coletta Ayers, was airlifted to the UK Medical Center to be treated for her burns.
