SOMERSET, Ky. (AP) - A new publisher has been named at the
Commonwealth Journal in Somerset.
Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. says 50-year-old Rob
McCullough began serving in the position on Thursday
(http://bit.ly/xH5AZC).
He previously served as publisher at the Corbin Times-Tribune
and the Morehead News Group, which are also owned by CNHI.
McCullough began his career in newspaper management at The
Independent in Ashland after receiving a bachelor's degree in
business from Transylvania. Although the newspaper is currently
owned by CNHI, McCullough's family owned it until 1979 and he
worked in its mailroom as a teenager.
Eddie Blakeley, a senior vice president with CNHI, said
McCullough will help the newspaper use more multimedia technology
to deliver the news.
He will also oversee two smaller publications owned by the
company.
