SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - A former county clerk is in jail and accused of faking another county clerk's signature.

39-year-old Jennifer Melissa Turpin is charged with one count of forgery.

Officials with the Attorney General's Office say Turpin forged the signature of Pulaski County's Clerk on a title for an SUV sold on Craig's list to someone in Maryland.

She used to be the Wayne County Clerk and currently works for Somerset Auto Auction.
