Police: Pulaski thief caught red-handed

Kenneth Gumm is facing charges of receiving stolen property after police say he was caught trying to sell dozens of copper plates allegedly stolen from cell phone towers throughout Pulaski County.

Police say the plates would only be worth several hundred dollars at scrap metal yards but replacing them costs cell phone companies thousands.

Gumm was arrested Tuesday when police say he was trying to sell more plates at a Pulaski County scrap metal yard.

When he saw the detective, he drove off but was apprehended a few block away.
