Power has been restored to thousands of people in Pulaski County who lost it late Wednesday afternoon.
We're told the outage was mainly along the 914 Bypass in Somerset and Highway 80.
Pulaski County leaders tell us both city and county customers were impacted.
Leaders with South Ky. RECC tell us six substations in Pulaski went out, and, at its height, about 8,000 customers were without power. All six substations are now back online.
RECC leaders think a transmission issue from East Kentucky Power to South Kentucky RECC caused the outage, just after 5pm.
Some people in Pulaski County are sitting in the dark and without air-conditioning.
Pulaski County Emergency Management Director Tiger Robinson says there is a massive power outage in the city of Somerset.
Tiger says the power is out along the 914 bypass and highway 80.
RECC leaders think a transmission issue may be causing the problem.
They're working to fix it and they hope to have power restored quickly.
