SOMERSET, Ky. (WKYT) - It was known as Beach Buckets, now it's the Square Restaurant and Lounge. The once closed restaurant re-opened after its owners saw new life...after the death of one of their own.

"Megan was our anchor. Brought everyone in here with her laughter and her smile," said Carolyn Epperson, who is the manager.

Megan Williams worked at the restaurant as a waitress and co-manager and many patrons specifically asked for her tables.

"It was just her energy, her love. She took care of people. As soon as they walked in that door," she said.

Williams was killed when her car collided with a tractor trailer at the intersection of Coleman Road and Ky. 39. Police said at the time a tractor trailer got stuck because its GPS mistakenly pointed him in that direction.

Williams left behind three young girls and many friends.

"Her passing, just brought everybody together," Epperson said.

So they dedicated a section of the restaurant; a wall in her memory.

"People come in every day, see the wall, they touch the wall, there's not a day that goes by that her name is not mentioned," Epperson said.

Epperson says most of what Williams wanted to do with Beach Buckets, she is not doing with the Square restaurant.
