Sheriff's department, fiscal court named in Pulaski County lawsuit

SOMERSET, Ky. (Commonwealth Journal/WYMT) - A Pulaski County man has filed a federal lawsuit claiming he was assault by a sheriff's deputy.

The Commonwealth Journal reports the suit, filed by Kevin McCoy of Somerset, alleges Pulaski sheriff's deputy Steve Molen rammed McCoy while he was riding a motorcycle on Kentucky 70 in August of 2011.

The suit alleges after McCoy was knocked to the ground Molen assaulted him.

Pulaski Sheriff Todd Wood, Judge Executive Barty Bullock and the fiscal court were also named in the lawsuit.
