PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - A teenager is dead and a man in jail after a crash in Pulaski County.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office responded to the wreck around 10:30 p.m. Monday night at the intersection of Kentucky 635 and Smith Vault Road, about 10 miles north of Somerset.
Officials say 19-year-old Jacob Ebenstein was ejected from his motorcycle after a car, driven by 40-year-old William Wesley, pulled out in front of him.
Ebenstein was air lifted to UK Hospital where he later died.
On Monday night, Wesley was charged with a DUI. Tuesday afternoon, police also charged Wesley with murder. He is currently being lodged at the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Ebenstein was driving home from work Monday evening.
"I can't even say how tragic and terrible that this is that the best part of his life was ahead of him," said Culver's co-owner and Ebenstein's manager Scott Hail, "he's just like my own. Aside from work, on a personal level. But here at work he was a very outstanding team member. Everybody loved him. Got along well with all of his other team members."
Donations to the Jacob Ebenstein Memorial Fund can be made at any of the Cumberland Security Bank locations in Somerset.
