A woman is recovering after her car was hit by a train.
It happened Monday afternoon on Freedom Church road in Pulaski County.
Investigators say Mary Rutherford, 53, stopped at a railroad crossing and was hit by the Norfolk Southern train.
Police say the crossing is marked by stop signs and railroad crossing markers.
Rutherford was flown to UK Hospital.
Her condition hasn't been released.
