Friends continued working at the Versailles home, where just a day before, a man was found dead inside by fire crews who were there to put out some flames.

The friends identified the victim as Zachary Morgan, a man who, they say, was a great father and loved by many.

Still, the process is far from over for investigators, who are still looking for positive identification on the victim.

Today, detectives were joined by investigators with the Kentucky State Police in an effort to gather evidence and identify what may have started the fire.

"At this point, right now, what they are trying to determine is the origin and the cause of the fire," described Lt. Daniel Clark of the Versailles Police Department.

Meanwhile, Versailles police say the victim's body was taken to the medical examiners office, but that process hasn't yielded many answers, at this time.

"It's probably going to be another day before there's a positive identification made with the victim," admitted Lt. Clark, who remained hopeful that the results will answer the remaining questions behind the death.

The Woodford County Coroner says he handed over dental records to the medical examiner's office in hopes of positively identifying the body.
