Wet roads could be to blame for crash that injured officer

Wet roads may have played a role in a crash that sent a police officer to the hospital on Thursday night.

The crash happened just after 6:00 p.m. on U.S. 60, near Midway Road, in Versailles.

We're told the Versailles Police Officer was on his way to help with another crash when he wrecked.

Officials say the officer lost control of his cruiser, ran off the right side of the road, went up an embankment and struck a plank fence.

The officer was taken to U.K. hospital to be checked out. Police tell us he had non-life threatening injuries.
