Kentucky State Police made quite the find Tuesday. Troopers stopped a car for speeding on I-75, at the 7 mile marker southbound in Whitley County. During the course of the traffic stop, troopers say they developed a reasonable suspicion that unlawful activity was occurring.
They say the driver consented to search, that turned up $143,755 hidden inside the driver's luggage. The driver was alone in the vehicle. Troopers say the man was only charged with the traffic violation, but the DEA was contacted and has seized the cash.
