Crash shuts down road, power to parts of Williamsburg

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A crash in Whitley County has shut down a busy road on the University of the Cumberlands' campus, and caused a power outage to much of the town.

A car hit a utility pole on College Hill, on Main Street in Williamsburg Saturday afternoon, just in front of Asher Hall.

The Williamsburg Police Chief says power is out in the area, all the way to 10th Street.

The road is still shut down, and police say they're waiting on a utility truck before they reopen it.

There's no word on any injuries in the crash, or when the power will be turned back on.
