A driver ran into a bear, on I-75 Thursday morning. The Whitley County Sheriff's Office says the driver hit the black bear around 6:29 a.m.
The bear was hit at mile marker 15 on I-75 northbound by a semi. The Sheriff's Office says the 250 pound bear was killed. The truck driver was not hurt.
The driver was from out of state.
