WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - A former Whitley County lawyer, who admitted to participating in a kickback scheme, has been disbarred.
Ron Reynolds admitted to paying former Sheriff Lawrence Hodge $57,000 to have charges against his client reduced to misdemeanors.
As part of the scheme, investigators say Hodge would refer people to Reynolds after their arrest.
Reynolds is serving time in a Nashville halfway house and will be released in February.
Hodge, who also pleaded guilty to federal charges, is in an Ohio prison.
