CORBIN, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - Emergency officials were called out to a southern Kentucky lake Sunday evening, after a rescue squad spotted a stray kayak while practicing training techniques.
Officials with Woodbine Fire and Rescue say Corey Moses, 23, took his kayak out on Laurel Lake near the 312 dam, when his kayak flipped, causing him to fall into the water, and was unable to get back in the kayak.
Moses, who was wearing a life jacket, was able to get to land safely, and was not injured.
Laurel County Rescue was able to return his kayak to him within a few hours.
