Lexington man accused of making threats now in southern Kentucky jail

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A man at the center a police hunt that lasted several days is now in jail.

James Caldwell is in the Whitley County Detention Center. He's being held on charges of stalking and terroristic threatening for Fayette County.

Caldwell turned himself in at a medical facility in Corbin on Monday morning. He was reported missing last month from his home on Eureka Springs Drive in Lexington.

Lexington Police began searching for Caldwell after he reported left a threatening letter at the home of a person he knows. Police say that letter contained threats against several businesses, some individuals, the general public, and even himself. Police confirmed that several of the businesses mentioned in the letter are in the Hamburg area.
