ROCKHOLDS, Ky. (WYMT) - Investigators say no foul play is suspected after two people were found dead in Whitley County.
The Sheriff says family members found Melissa Proffitt, 41, and Richard Saylor, 31, dead Saturday in Proffitt's home on Mosley Branch.
Autopsy results are not finished yet, but the deputy coroner says there is nothing suspicious and carbon monoxide is ruled out.
The Sheriff also says there were no signs anything suspicious inside the home.
"There was no marks or no indication of foul play but this is highly unusual to have two people die in the same room at basically the same time," said Sheriff Colan Harrell.
Deputy Coroner Jerry Wayne Croley says it could be a couple of weeks before the autopsy with the official cause of death is complete.
